James West, Principal
James specialises in managing True North’s key client relationships and in delivering their senior level executive search assignments across a range of industry sectors and functions.
James began his career as a retained executive search consultant working in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, before focusing on the financial services sector for 7 years. During this time, he transitioned his focus from middle to front office investment banking, hiring corporate financiers, strategy consultants and investment professionals for banks and private equity funds. He then set up a boutique executive search company to recruit both investment professionals for funds and senior management for the companies they acquired, before co-founding an innovative online recruitment business.
James joined True North in 2010 and when not working can typically be found running with his dog around muddy fields.
Charlotte Kao, Principal
As a Principal Consultant, Charlotte heads up our marketing, digital and insights business. She has over 15 years recruitment experience and has worked both consultancy side and in-house in head of resourcing roles. Seeing both sides of the fence has given her a unique insight to recruitment and she uses this perspective to really understand the issues her clients are facing.
She joined True North in 2011 to head up the Aimia account and was responsible for in excess of 200 hires a year across marketing, digital, insights and general management roles. She is passionate about sharing market insights, building long term relationships and understanding candidate and clients key challenges. She is pragmatic and creative in her approach to coming up with solutions to genuinely add value to the process.
David Prangle, Consultant
David graduated with a Bsc Honours degree in Computer Science and began his career in senior finance contingent recruitment before moving into executive search. Over the last five years David has developed his strength in the design and delivery of finance focused senior management executive searches working across a range of industry sectors.
David is a trusted partner to an array of well known listed international companies, as well as VC and Private Equity backed businesses. David is passionate about understanding the challenges faced by the organisations he partners with and delivering highly bespoke solutions with a service that exceeds expectations.
Caroline Lacey, Associate
Caroline graduated in June 2012 from Durham University with an upper second class degree in Ancient History and Archaeology. Shortly after this she joined our executive search team as an Associate Consultant, where she has continued to learn and progress within the team.
Caroline is a passionate and outgoing individual who wants to see her career flourish and excel within True North executive search.
Tilly Morgan, Associate
Tilly graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2009 with a BA Honours degree in Tourism Management and Leisure Planning. Since then she has worked internationally in both London and Dubai focusing on Executive Search across a range of industry sectors.
Tilly joined True North at the beginning of 2013 as an Associate Consultant and is looking forward to growing her career within such a well-established company learning from some of the best in the industry. She enjoys a challenge and will bring a positive, professional and creative approach to your personal or company’s recruitment requirements.
